Hot-air Balloon Ride over the Château of Maintenon

You will be whisked from your hotel early in the morning, or after lunch, and driven to Maintenon, 70 km west of Paris. In the summer time, flights have to take off with the morning currents of air. In the winter time, flights can also happen in the afternoons. You will enjoy a scenic and exhilarating one-hour balloon flight over the Château of Maintenon, the Aqueduc and the lovely green countryside of France. You will feel lighter than air as you float noiselessly over the beautiful scenery: castles, picturesque villages—don’t forget to bring your camera! When you land, you will enjoy a champagne toast to celebrate your flight. After the flight, you will be brought back to your hotel in Paris.

The flight is confirmed on the night before by the pilot depending on weather conditions. (Do give us a mobile phone number to reach you). If there is a sudden change in the weather, he may rarely cancel on the day of the flight, because your safety is paramount. If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather, you will get a full refund. It is best to try to keep two days open for this excursion. You will be insured for the flight. Children under 10 and handicaped persons not allowed. Please be dressed sporty and warm. This will not be a fully private flight. There may be other persons in the balloon with you. We can arrange lunch in a lovely garden restaurant in the countryside or in Paris for 50 euros per person.

Helicopter ride around Paris

Are you bored with the usual ways of seeing the city? Well here’s something different! You will be picked up at your hotel by a chauffeured car and taken to a heliport near Paris. Then you’ll take off in a helicopter to come up to the edge of Paris (helicopters are not allowed to fly directly above the city). You will see the Eiffel Tower as close as is allowed. And then you will return to the pad via a flight over the Château de Versailles, a great sight. After you flight, you will brought back to your hotel by car.

In the unlikely event that the flight must be cancelled due to bad weather, you will get a full refund. But do try to keep two possible days for this exciting tour, in case you cannot fly on the first day. Flights are confirmed on the morning of the day between 9 and 11 am. Flights take place morning or afternoon every day. Hence you would be picked up at your hotel at 9 am or 1:30 pm.

The cost is 500 euros per person, with a minimum order of two people. These flights are not entirely private. There may be up to a total of 4 or 5 people in the copter.

Loire Castles—Classic and Renaissance

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, 8 am–8 pm, 450 euros*.
You will be picked up at your hotel and then you’ll whiz down to Tours on the TGV, France’s famous high-speed train. In Tours, you will be met by your guide who will take you by minibus on a visit of three charming châteaux: on your own, visit Clos Lucé—where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final days, the beautiful castle Chenonceau—where you will have lunch (drinks not included), and Chambord—the largest of the Loire Castles. Finally, you will enjoy a wine tasting at Nitray Castle. Several other castles (Blois, Chaumont, Amboise) will be seen from the bus. A long day trip out of Paris. Nice, Cannes, Monaco: all in one day, by air from Paris!

One day tour: Your day starts at 7 am, when our hostess picks you up at your hotel to drive you to Orly airport. At 8 am you will fly to Nice on Air France, arriving at 9 am, where you will be met by your friendly English-speaking chauffeur and tour guide for the day. He will take you to your limousine and you’ll start your day of sightseeing of the French Riviera.

• In the Morning: City tour of Nice. See this historic, Italian Baroque city, with its famous seaside “Promenade des Anglais”, flower market, fountains, museum and theater.
• Drive to Monaco along the scenic ridge route: Enjoy lunch on the way in a garden restaurant on the cliffside, with lovely views over Monte Carlo bay and the Mediterranean.
• Visit Monte Carlo: Playground of the rich and famous, with its plush shops, its port, casino, in case you would like to hit the jackpot in a hurry.


• See the Perfume factory of Eze: On your way back from Monte Carlo you can stop at the old perfume factory in Eze, and find out for yourself why France is famous for its perfumes.
• See Antibes and Cannes, a couple hours away: Drive along the coast to the village of Antibes and then Cannes, of film festival fame. These are lovely, lush towns with splendid architecture and greenery.
• Have tea at the Martinez hotel, where movie stars stay during the film festival, walk up the red-carpeted steps of the Palais des Congrès where the film festival is held every year.
